This year’s Opera Study Program explores two of opera’s most compelling vocal traditions: Bel Canto and Verismo. Through guided listening, discussion, and historical context, we’ll discover how these contrasting styles shaped Italian opera—from the elegance of Bellini and Donizetti to the passionate realism of Puccini and his contemporaries.
