The Opera Guild’s Touring Program

The Opera Guild in co-operation with the UTSA Lyric Theatre sponsors opera performances which tour to local elementary schools. The 2010 touring opera is Seymour Barab’s Pied Piper of Hamelin which in 2009 visited 24 elementary schools ranging from San Antonio’s far west side to New Braunfels.  The opera tours with costumes, scenery and music. There is no charge to host the opera at your school.

Professionally written teacher’s study guides are provided online for easy downloading. (See Teacher Guides) A student chorus is part of the production and often there are roles for younger children.
