Financial Support of Opera & Opera Students

The Opera Guild has established two endowed scholarships with the Department of Music, UTSA.  One of the scholarships is for an opera student in performance and the other is to support future teachers in voice education.  In addition, the Guild supports the Metropolitan Opera's annual Southwest Regional Auditions with a cash performance award to the finalists and by underwriting a reception honoring the winners following the final awards.  The Guild makes donations to the opera production and symphony companies in our region in support of their work in the performing arts.  In addition, the Guild offers monetary awards to local and regional operatic students and young talent.
